Rising rates of chronic disease pose a threat to national security. There is a pressing need for scalable solutions that enhance warfighter readiness and improve overall health and well-being in the long-term. LPM was specifically designed to address this issue in a military setting. The summit covered multiple examples showcasing the successful implementation of LPM practices by NATO allies in the US, UK and Lithuania and plans to do so in Finland.
Digital tools enable LPM professionals to both reach a wider audience, while tailoring their services based on the needs and goals of each individual in a cost-effective and evidence-based way. Key-note speaker Regan A. Stiegmann, DO, MPH, FACLM, DipABLM said it well: let’s stop admiring the problem and get to work! 🚀
Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! And a massive thank you 👏🏽 to all the LPM professionals from our NATO allies who joined us in Finland to share their insights and expertise!! Looking forward 👀 to sharing some of the concrete next steps that were achieved at the summit in the coming months!
